My Role at Silicon South
As a Board Member of Silicon South, I am deeply committed to supporting and growing Dorset’s digital, creative, and tech sectors. My goal is to share the knowledge and experience I’ve gained throughout my career to help guide both businesses and individuals in our community. I am particularly passionate about mentoring emerging talent, providing advice to founders and leaders, and helping local companies navigate the challenges of growth and innovation.
Being part of Silicon South gives me the opportunity to connect with a diverse network of professionals, contribute to initiatives that strengthen the region’s capabilities, and promote collaboration across the industry. My Silicon South Story
I’m proud to live in the Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole (BCP) area, and as the co-founder of Spyrosoft, based in Christchurch, I’ve had the privilege of building a business right here in Dorset. Over the years, I’ve witnessed the incredible growth of the region’s digital, creative, and tech sectors, and I’ve become passionate about supporting that momentum.
Joining Silicon South has given me the opportunity to give back to the community that has supported me. Through the network, I can share my knowledge and experience, mentor emerging talent, and guide local businesses as they navigate the challenges of growth and innovation. It’s incredibly rewarding to see ideas flourish and to help individuals and companies unlock their potential.

Supporting Outpost VFX
Silicon South played a pivotal role in helping Outpost VFX, a local visual effects company, upgrade their data management systems to handle high-resolution content. This support was crucial as they worked on major projects such as HBO’s Watchmen and the feature film Greed, enabling the team to deliver world-class results while growing their technical capabilities.
Bringing WordCamp to Bournemouth
Silicon South helped make WordCamp Bournemouth a reality by facilitating collaboration between Bournemouth University, the local council, and regional tech professionals. It lobbies local public bodies and works to attract investment into the Dorset region. The organisation is run by a small team, including a director, programme manager, and a board.
