My CTO Story
I’ve spent my career moving steadily toward one goal — shaping technology strategy that truly drives organisations forward. Becoming a CTO wasn’t a single step, but the culmination of decades spent learning how to align technology, people, and purpose.
Over the past 30 years, I’ve led technology initiatives across public services, telecoms, aerospace, legal, and corporate real estate — delivering complex projects in the UK, USA, Sweden, Poland, and Austria. Each role deepened my belief that great technology leadership isn’t just about engineering excellence; it’s about creating the culture, clarity, and structure that allow innovation to thrive.
Before co-founding Spyrosoft, I served as a Digital Advisor to the UK Government and as Head of Development at Ordnance Survey, Great Britain’s National Mapping Agency. Those roles taught me the power of vision-led technology — how the right leadership and architecture can quietly transform the way entire organisations operate.
As CTO of Spyrosoft, I’ve used my CTO skills in leading the organisation to build an environment where technology strategy and delivery are deeply connected — where teams are empowered to experiment, share knowledge, and grow. My work has been about scaling our capabilities without losing the human connection that drives meaningful innovation.
